ResonUp

Your data

Delete your account

You can close your ResonUp account and delete its data from inside the app, in four steps. This page explains exactly what goes, what stays, and why.

01Before you start

Export first, if you want to.

Data export is available on every plan, the free one included. Export your journal, your recordings and your archive before you delete — once the deletion has run it is permanent, and there is no version of your account left for us to restore.

02The flow

How to delete.

Four steps, inside the app. None of them requires a word from us.

  1. 01Open ResonUp and go to YOU, then Privacy Center.
  2. 02Choose Delete account and data.
  3. 03Read what will be removed, what is kept and why. Then choose a 7-day period — your account stays usable and one tap cancels it — or delete now.
  4. 04When the deletion has run, you receive a deletion certificate.

Once the deletion runs, your data leaves our live systems within 24 hours (our target), our service providers within 30 days and our backups within 35 days at most.

03What goes

What deletion removes.

All of it, permanently:

  • Your profile and sign-in identity
  • Journal entries
  • Private Vault contents
  • My Voice recordings
  • ResonMap history
  • Capsules you created
  • Circle memberships and anything you posted in them
  • Preferences, progress and notification settings

04What stays

What is kept, and why.

Four things, named before you have to ask.

  • Purchase and invoice records, anonymised, for as long as tax law requires (10 years in Turkey). They hold a transaction, not your content.
  • Proof of your consent decisions and of the deletion itself, pseudonymised and deleted three years later.
  • Moderation reports other members made about content you posted, for the period stated in the Privacy Policy.
  • Backups, until their rotation overwrites them — no more than 35 days.

05Important

Your subscription is separate.

Deleting your account does not cancel a subscription you bought in a store. The subscription lives in your App Store or Google Play account, so cancel it there as well — otherwise it keeps renewing after your data is gone.

06Our commitment

No obstacle course.

There is no discount offered to interrupt you, no survey to complete and no support conversation to get past first. The 7-day period is your choice, not a hurdle: your account stays usable during it, one tap cancels it, and you can delete now instead. The deletion control sits with every other privacy control, and it works on the first attempt.

07Help

If you cannot reach the app.

Lost the device, or cannot open the app? Write to our privacy address. A ResonUp account starts out anonymous and tied to your device, so before we act we may ask you to show that the account is yours — for example from the device itself.

08Questions

Before you go.

  • Does deleting my account cancel my subscription?

No. The subscription lives in your App Store or Google Play account and has to be cancelled there. If you delete the account and leave the subscription running, the store keeps charging it.

  • How long does deletion take?

If you choose the 7-day period, the deletion runs when it ends; if you choose to delete now, it runs straight away. Your data then leaves our live systems within 24 hours (our target), our service providers within 30 days and our backups within 35 days at most.

  • Can I undo it?

During the 7-day period, yes: your account stays usable and one tap cancels the deletion. Once the deletion has run there is nothing left to restore, which is exactly why the export step comes first.

  • I only want to remove one entry.

You can delete any individual journal entry, recording or Capsule from inside the app without closing your account.

  • I only want the AI to stop.

Turn AI personalization off in the Privacy Center. Everything else in ResonUp keeps working exactly as it did.

  • I cannot sign in any more.

Write to our privacy address. Because the account is tied to your device rather than to an e-mail address, we may first ask you to prove that it is yours — for example from the device — and then carry out the deletion for you.
